January Shoots

Here is some of my latest work from the last few weeks. I sent a Saturday afternoon with my new friends at Forever Your Tattooing. They were unbelievably accommodating, and gave me complete control to shoot as I please.

When the sun finally decided to show its face last week I went out and hung out on a local ice rink. It wasn't as busy as I had hoped it would be but I refused to walk away empty handed.

My First Ever Win

Last night I got a call on Jon's cell phone from my mom. "Your not in class" she said...no, today would be Tuesday, no class on Tuesdays... "Oops, I told them you where in class"

My mom has a habit of switching days and I tend to let it go. Long story short the call I had missed a few minutes earlier was from the gentlemen who run the Digital Photography Show at www.thedigitalphotographyshow.com

Since I didn't answer they called my parents number (which I still don't remember putting on the application but whatever) and made the mistake of mentioning to her that I had won a contest, which she told me when she called Jon's phone, to tell him I suppose.

Anyway, so we finally got wires uncrossed and they got a hold of me a little later that, and after dealing with the disappointment of me already knowing I won, we had a nice little chat which they will air on their radio show (I'm not looking forward to hearing myself over podcast radio or any other radio for that matter)

If your still with me here that is all to say that you can see the photo at http://dps.phanfare.com/album/521499/811756#imageID=35642976

It's not really a great example of my style, but I liked the offer of a free Wacom so I threw in a random picture I took of Colton and Sofia a long time ago. Therefore it's not a big deal, but it is a first time win for me so I'm going to enjoy it, even if it is ubber cheesy : )

2008 Ski Loopet

Saterday was a great day for the Loopet, a majority of the day was junior races, and such. It was entertaining to watch the excitement on the kids faces as they were cheered to the finish no matter if they were first or hundredth.

Later the night began the sprints. by the time the sprints got underway it was too dark to really capture action shots but I got a couple.

Nicollete Mall January 2008

We finally had one nice day this month, I took full advantage and went out to wonder the streets during my break between classes. I met some interesting characters like Doug and Craig I found myself thinking about them for the rest of the night as the temps began to plummet again.
